EBA has gone digital! This month we're unveiling a fully digital version of the magazine, which means you can now browse each month's issue on your PC at the office or on your PDA when you're on the go. The new digital version is packed with features like searchability, navigation aids including a live table of contents, links to additional information online, and more. Go to digital.employeebenefitadviser.com, and let us know what you think. (Just don't let me catch you reading it on your BlackBerry while you're driving. And yes, I'm talking to you.)
This year we'll be beefing up EBA's Web site as well - adding more interactive tools and expanding our education center and blog. Along with our newsletters, podcasts, Web seminars, RSS feed and more, our goal is to make eba.benefitnews.com the one place where you can go for answers to your questions, keep up to date on new developments, and get the lowdown from prominent experts in the field.
Speaking of experts, we're adding a new column to the magazine this month, "CE Corner." Author Gary Fradin, president of HealthInsuranceCE, will share continuing education content - in a quick-read format - to help you brush up on key concepts in the field and keep up to speed on new ideas. In his first column, on page 50, he highlights aspects of the VA medical system that could serve as models for meaningful health care reform. And Gary is offering EBA readers a special discount on HealthInsuranceCE's continuing education products to boot.
Lastly, we're giving you an opportunity to catch up with all the new compliance mandates kicking in this year, at a special one-day benefit compliance conference April 19. The event will feature presentations by leading authorities on legal and compliance issues affecting health and welfare and DC plans. It will be held at our editorial headquarters just outside Washington, D.C., close by Reagan National airport and easily accessible by car and Metro. Look for more details on the EBA Web site and our "inBrief" e-newsletter.
This year is shaping up to be a time of upheaval in the benefits industry. But no matter what comes out of the struggle over health care reform, new opportunities are sure to be created. You can count on us to bring them to you EBA-style: first, packed with insight, and 100% reliable.
