Now, back to the issue of CRM -- 63% of advisers surveyed say they use CRM software, while 37% say they do not.

We asked readers who did use a CRM program which one they used. We received a variety of responses including PlanSource, Salesforce.com, GBS and ACT. We also asked what the biggest problems were with CRM programs. Here's what some respondents said:
- Initial customer load.
- Data accuracy. Without an automated data feed, it's a challenge to keep everything up to date and relevant.
- Exporting the data into useful reports. User adoption is also a tremendous struggle.
- Poor reporting and tracking capabilities.
- It requires large time investment to transfer and update data. Everyone must totally commit to the system.
